  • Extensive experience on the American Mensa Board of Directors (AMC), serving as Regional Vice Chair 4 (RVC4) from 2017 to 2024, Second Vice Chair from July 1, 2024, First Vice Chair from September 21, 2024, and Chair effective July 3, 2025.
  • Serves as American Mensa National Representative on Mensa International's Board of Directors. Member of Mensa International's Executive Committee. Past Chair of Mensa International's Strategic Planning Committee.

What's a Chair, and what do they do?

American Mensa's Chair is one of five nationally elected positions on American Mensa's Board of Directors. The others are First Vice Chair, Second Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. We also have 10 regionally elected voting Board positions.

Bylaws article VI.1 states: "The duties of the Chairman shall be to administer the business of the society in accord with the provisions of the Constitution of International Mensa, to act as Chief Executive Officer to the Society, to preside at the meetings of the American Mensa Committee [board of directors], and to act as National Representative on the International Board of Directors."
