What's a Chair, and what do they do?
American Mensa's Chair is one of five nationally elected positions on American Mensa's Board of Directors. The others are First Vice Chair, Second Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. We also have 10 regionally elected voting Board positions.
Bylaws article VI.1 states: "The duties of the Chairman shall be to administer the business of the society in accord with the provisions of the Constitution of International Mensa, to act as Chief Executive Officer to the Society, to preside at the meetings of the American Mensa Committee [board of directors], and to act as National Representative on the International Board of Directors."
